On the 10th of June 2007 the Hunter River, fed by innumerable sources upstream, reached major flood levels inundating land already heavily saturated by excessive rainfall. Maitland proper was saved due to a strategic levee and spillway system. This gallery is our own little microcosm of a much greater event. |
