I enjoyed the opportunity to meet and finally put faces with names. Fine group of guys that made it to the tourny. It was a tough and slow catch this weekend.
Taking First place honors... Richard Kent and partner, (drawing blank on name), friends of Jim (OldFishHead) won with a 21 lb 11 oz bag for a 2 day total. They had a kicker day with 16 lb 7 oz bag today weighing in 5 fish. They also had big fish yesterday with a 5 lb 4 oz largemouth. Total of 6 fish weighed for 2 days.
Second place goes to....Jeremy Adams and Don Applegraith (sorry if I got last name wrong, Been a long day). They wieghed in 11 lb 10 oz bag for 2 days. Yesterday they had 2 fish at 7 lb 4 oz. 1 today at 4 lb 6 oz.
Third place went to....Josh Butler and partner had a nice catch of 11 lb 7 oz catch today with 4 fish. They had a keeper that they had to throw back while we all were waiting to go. He was trying out a new buzzbait. Dang the luck, would have put him above Jeremy. They didn't have any fish on Saturday so it was a nice comeback. They also took today's big fish at 5 lb 5 oz.
Micheal Jackson and his partner (Brian Reeves somehow I remembered a name) were in a decent lead yesterday with 10 lb 6 oz catch on 4 fish. But they forgot how to operate an alarm clock and showed up really late. They had 0 fish today.
Winn and, son, Brian Hammond had 4 fish at 10 lb 5 oz. Also bringing a couple fish was MR. John with Stroker and a 300 hanging off the back. He had 2 fish at 5 lb 7 oz. Charlie Garret, Herbert Rhudy, Mark Gable and son, and myself all drew a blank. Mark was only able to fish on Sunday but came on and fished anyway. It is tough to take a beatin on your home waters. But I think that I will live. I wish that more had been able to attend. But I also understand that some people had more pressing things to attend to. On that note, Kevin I hope that your mother is doing well and has a nice recovery. It was great getting to know all of you that made the show.
Thanks to all,
Chris

Bryan is my son and fishing partner. We usually fish Logan Martin Lake and the Coosa River at night so this was a little different for us. The bass are a lot bigger here at Guntersville and this was a great experience for us.
