Greetings from Oakville, ON Canada to one of the nicest people I have ever met!
What a fabulous website! Your photos are amazing!!
In 2010, I was fortunate to visit and travel with you, Becky & Elaine. During that visit we spent some time in CC where you introduced us to some magnificent lifers! From there we made our way down to the RGV! What a fabulous time!! I can't thank you enough for such an amazing birding adventure!
In 2014 when Aubrey retired, you welcomed us into your home, tucked us under your wing and along with Becky, Elaine & Mack you guided us down to the RBV where we had another fabulous birding experience.
We have such fond memories and are waiting for the day when you head north. We can hardly wait to introduce you to our part of the world. Until then ..... love and gentle hugs sweet friend!

Hi -- Greetings from California. We birded with you at Packery Channel in May 2003 (!) , where the thrill of the day was a Sulphur-bellied Flycatcher. You re-found and photographed it the next day, and emailed us with your gallery info. This bit of history surfaced as we are making a list of some good Texas birding places for 2 young relatives, beginning birders on a long auto trip. Great to find the gallery still standing. The internet spans time as well as distance!

Dear Ms. Alley

Great collection, hence I would like to introduce you a website that covers the Lepidoptera of the world, namely lepidoptera.eu We (me and the website author, Christopher Jonko) would like to encourage you, as a moth photographer who possess a lot of a really great pictures, to publish them there. It is enough to register to get a few more possibilities than unregistered users e.g. pictures uploading. Previously, the website was dedicated just for European Lepidoptera, hence not all species of the world are introduced to the database yet. But do not worry if you have some species that "does not exist" on the website. In that case you can just put its name while the picture will be being sent. The species will arrive after the next update with that picture. We would be grateful if you would like to support "the project" for the benefit of all moths and butterflies lovers. The website is non-profit and is based solely on the work of its author and the contributors - amateur (or professionals) photographers such as myself :-)

Best regards
Maciej Matraj

Hi, Linda, B & the Cats,

It's me, Arleen from New Yawk. Well, I'm drafting my next monthly report and would like to get permission to use your picture of the hummingbird nestlings from your Hummingbirds at My Neighbors album. I'm interested in the first pic where they look like sword fighters. If that's fine by you, I could simple copy if from your PBase album and upload it at my site, unless you want to send another. Of course, I'd credit your name and add a link to your PBase site, which I think is so great and would be fun for my readers. I will also provide another link with detailed info under my Links section on the last page.

I was also thinking of adding small/thumbnail photos that would open to larger ones at the end of my report. I really don't know if I'll have time to do that. If I do, would I be able to link some of your photos in this way. Of course, they would be credited too. Let me know what you think. At the least though, I'd really love to include your hummingbird photo.

Here's my last report so you may see how I credit photographers and if you would feel comfortable having your work on my pages:

http://home.att.net/~arleen.obrien/BirdJoyDec2004.html

Otherwise, how are things going? There is snow, beautiful snow everywhere in New York. J and I are going out to play tomorrow. I so look forward to it. But nothing like what you just experienced. You just added those Rio Grande rarities, hah? Incredible. I'm drooling... becard, mango, trogon -- I'm sick with longing. I really have to do another Texas trip. There really is nothing like it. I keep thinking of Laguna Atascosa. What a beautiful place.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Arleen

Linda, I do a free slideshow in our area, Rockport/Fulton, TX, for the Mid-Coast Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists (a spin-off of the Master Gardener program), a non-profit. We promote presevation and restoration of habitat for wildlife in the schools and through garden clubs, etc. May I use your buff-belly photo in my show, giving you photo credit, of course. I have other pictures of the buff-belly but none are as beautiful and demonstrate the bird as well as yours. Thank you. Anna Reemsnyder
