_MG_4577.JPG

Beaver activity. I'm standing on a snow covered beaver pond. The long, shallow depressions in the snow are made by beavers dragging branches and twigs to a hole in the ice. The dark line in the lower right corner is actually a slightly larger than beaver sized hole in the ice. A beaver was there as we approached but went under the ice before I could get the camera out of my pack.

(Little) beavers did all that?? Amazing! Not only beautiful but a fascinating capture, Will. V.

their trails are like hieroglyphs, and intersect with the elongated shadows so dynamically...superbly evocative image....V

What a beautiful area to explore. Love the feeling of solitude.V.
