East 53rd Street NYC Taken Thru An Office Window
Wow! This was really a room with a view! The window was dirty, but I did the best I could! :)

Rural Beauty
Driving through Virginia, snapping photos, 55 mph. I just love the colors in the photograph. I wish I could have gotten closer. If you look closely you can see an old truck sticking out of the shed.

Cape Charles Rescue
We couldn't move down the highway as there was a three car accident, so I decided to stick my head out the moon roof of my Expedition and take a few shots. The 'officials' were already half way through getting the mess cleaned up when we got there. Ah, that 10x optical zoom lens on the E100rs!

Virginia Farm House at 70 MPH!
Who says the Olympus E100rs doesn't take nice scenics? And speeding past the place no less! Quick, honey! Snap! Snap! Snap!

Foggy Ferry Sunset
A foggy view of the sunset from the Cape May Ferry, headed towards New Jersey.

Ahoy The Twin Capes!
The last ferry of the evening on a Sunday night, headed for Cape May, NJ. The horizon is a tad crooked, and I know I can fix it in PS at some point and I will, but in the meantime I'll keep it here. Hey! It ain't easy taking a picture of a boat from a bouncing, speeding boat!

Silver Lake
This is not a lake. It's the Delaware Bay, in Lewes. How pretty is this? Our view from the Lewes-Cape May Ferry. It was a bit difficult getting this shot. For me, anyway, as the ferry was really moving very quickly in one direction and the sail boat in another.
11-AUG-2002
Sail Away
It went away too quickly. It looks like a dream. It felt like a dream (scary music pipes in). It ain't easy taking a photo of a boat from a boat. We were going about 16 knots in one direction, and the sailboat wasn't going much slower in the opposite direction.

CountrySky
Simple, but somehow, attractive to me... The clouds were following us.

Crescent Moon
Sunset on the Avon, NC Pier. I just COULDN'T CROP OUT THE MOON!!

Ominous Sky
I must have taken fifty photos of clouds that day. This was taken from the car, going about 60 mph.

Lewes-Cape May Ferry Pavilion From The Lewes Side
You can go in here while you are waiting for your ferry to depart for Cape May. They offer souvenirs (of course they do!), food, beverages and restrooms. It's actually very, very nice. The ferry trip across is approximately 70 minutes.

Sunset From The Avon Pier
The weather this night was perfect.

Racing The Clouds
We were traveling somewhere beween 50-60 mph, and the clouds were rolling along with us.

Red's Gull
Once again, taken from a very fast moving ferry. The cropping isn't what I'd preferred, but I'm lucky I 'caught' him at all! I like it because he's looking right at me!
28-AUG-2002
Damariscotta Lake, Maine, USA
Taken in the evening, when the light was waning, especially beneath the woods! What a beautiful place. Peaceful and as private and quiet as it looks. What a wonderful first visit we had to this special place.
28-AUG-2002
Damariscotta Lake, Maine, USA 2
I could have stayed there all summer. It was wonderful! This was taken late in the day, around dinner time (lobster bake!) when the light was leaving us. Visiting this wonderful place was worth every minute of the nine hour drive from our home in NJ.

Evening Sail
It was dusk and pretty foggy this evening. POTD, Shutterbugs, January 20, 2003.

Morning Plow
The mules, 'Sally' & 'Suzy', shown here with farm worker 'Debbie'. Debbie told me that she was preparing the earth for planting rye. This was a hard shot for a novice like me, because the sun was coming from an undesireable direction, and I certainly couldn't ask her to move. She was really plowing up the earth, so I did what I could. It's not as sharp as I'd like, either. I need some good glass!!
