Why No One Bothers Me When I'm In My Car / July 6, 2004

Well, at least it's not FOOD! This is Rudy. a.k.a. 'Rufus', 'Roo' (which is what I call him), 'Bear', 'Black Dog', and a few others he answers to. He is VERY big, and you can see his head is filling up my obscenely large SUV (Ford Expedition). He thinks he's the co-pilot.
This photo is pretty weak in most aspects, but YOU try taking a photo of a dog sitting behind you while you are driving 55 mph down the road (Caution: do NOT try this with a DSLR, lol)! Anyway, he protects me, or at least looks like he does. He'd surely lick you to death if you met him! Here's a shot of him showing the entire view of my now healthy, beautiful, adopted, half-shepard and half black lab MUTT: http://www.pbase.com/image/30761095
I think he's gorgeous.

I was thinking, "What the hell am I going to take a photo of today?", and I held the camera backwards and snapped. The camera was on 'auto', and it fired the flash, which I would NOT have done, but oh, well. At least I got my PAD!

Beautiful dog! I would think twice before entering your car uninvited!! My dog has several different names too, he doesn't mind what we call him as long as we call him when it's time to eat! :)

I bet he eats a lot though. LOL.

I love the expression on his face. Kinda like "Oh yeh?" and the motion blur outside the window is neat. Good one.

Beautiful dog, and story. One of the many things I miss about my dog, is that she would NOT let any male into the house unless I held her back. Come to think of it, maybe that wasn't the best thing in the world :)

He is beautiful -- love those ears! He looks very happy and perfectly able of defending you. (I thought only cats were entitled to nine names, as they have nine lives? ;^D)
