The showing at Central Theater was "The Misfits" from United Artists, cast Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, and Montgomery Clift. I had seen that film at that cinema theater on 12 Nov 1961 (Cavite City Fiesta).

I was 3 when this picture was taken. The memories I have of this particular spot was when I started high school at CNHS in '71. I remember Beldelizo Auto Supply, immediately behind the store in the 70's was a Photo Studio, Alicdan's. I remember that much because there were some pretty girls there. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there like a hat store to the left (your right) of the two boys?

I left RP in 1965 and this really brings back fond memories for I walk this street almost daily during my HS days. I watched English movies at the Central theater owned by Bert Bautista's family. Florming Bowling Alley is opposite across the street of Central Theatre. I went on vacation last Nov. 2008 and all I see were old houses and buildings. Maria Theater and other landmark places is gone. My place neighborhood at Hermanos Del Trabajo is gone. In tears, I turned my back and never returned to my beloved city. This lovely picture is in deep contrast with the present.

This is Molina Rd, heading to Cavite National High School. Far right is Central theater, were they usually show most of the english movies. Legaspi restaurant became Legaspi uniform shop for boy scouts, cub scouts, girl scouts and mostly team uniforms.
