Very good pictures and the ones from 1964 at the Brinks brought back memories. I was in Saigon 3 weeks and assigned to the Bob Hope USO Show to show the technicians around the 'safe' areas of Saigon. I spent Christmas Eve searching the Majestic Hotel where the technicians stayed, looking for explosives. I was a PFC and neither I nor the other two GIs with me had any idea what a bomb looked like. Your photos capture the Saigon at that time which still had a French colonial flavor. Nice galleries.
My Office was at 213 Tu Do in 1969 and 1970, I was with the 3rd Naval Construction Brigade Rep at that time. The Indian Consulate was either right above us or right below us. I remember getting hair cuts at the barber shop right next door, and eating pizza right around the corner.
Saigon is much prettier today than back in the day (71-72). Thanks for sharing the photos.
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I am living now in Saigon VietNam. Thanks again for sharing. Voted.
There was not a HCM city in Vn before 1975. You should make a different folder for the meaning of the pictures.
Outstanding ! Very interesting shots ! JL Voted
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I don't know much about my Saigon city when I was born there on 1964..Best wishes for people there.
This is a fantastic gallery. I really like the inclusion of photos from the '60s. So much has changed. Hopefully, it is a happier and healthier place now. Thanks for sharing. Voted.
