I am a digital nature photographer who shoots with Nikon CoolPix cameras. I started with the 880 at 3.4 mpx in 2001 and graduated to the 8800 at 8 mpx. I don't want to worry about camera settings; I want an image that is composed well, so that is my focus (or is that my "autofocus"?).

While I have traveled all over the world, my favorite images can be found in the American Southwest and in US National Parks. I shoot "all things great and small"...from vast landscapes to the smallest insect, flower, or texture. Subject matter also includes: hot-air balloons, trains, leaves, reflections, sunsets, lighthouses, butterflies, waterfalls, and trees. I notice contrast, balance, patterns, and shapes. I have a series of photographs depicting heart shapes I discovered in nature such as heart-shaped rocks, leaves, cactus, flower petals, ice holes, and log cuts, to name a few. I consider this my "Heartwork," and it really reflects my love of nature and the environment.

All of these photographs are available for sale. I do outdoor and indoor shows periodically around the country. A gallery that has featured my work is MAC WORTHINGTON in the Short North of Columbus, Ohio, at 749 North High Street. My Heartwork was featured in a special Valentine's Day exhibit at Starbucks in Dublin, Ohio.
