Looking through your work is such an inspiring experience for me. I feel energized and even electrified looking at this amazing photography. There is art and purity and beauty and such an amazing feeling for what is possible. I look forward with much anticipation to see what incredible journey you embark on next.

Your photos are dazzling and very well crafted. I hope you don't mind us adding you to our favourites.
Hi Wendy, Enjoyed looking at your galleries. Love the animals and Spain's windows. Too many great pix to make a comment on all of them. Added you to my favorites. Great work, and nice diverse galleries.
My favorite artist. Such talent!
I just stumbled across your site...beautiful work, Wendy! I'll stop by often.
hello Wendy thanks for your comment captions are easy for me I used to be in direct sales .so when you can't think of anything to say you don't sell .I entered a competition in the local newspaper, the picture I entered was called "nature has a habit of looking beautiful" my daughter sent me a text saying it was cheesy.my reply it was the difference between winning and losing , I'm happy to say I won .regards Chris
PS all the best for the new year
Thanks Mick, I'd answer by email but your address doesn't go through.
You have a very personal style, in the great tradition of american photographers. A work above the common production of hobby photographers. I love your desert pictures. Jean-Claude, Reims, France.
Tena koe (greetings in Maori)
I have just had the true pleasure of discovering your galleries..............Visually stunning, wonderful images so competently captured. I have added your 'home' to my favourites and look forward to leisurely looking thru and learning from each of your superb collections.
Aroha (warm regards)
A true artist at work! Congrats & Happy 08!
You have such a good eye for composition, color, and interesting subjects. You can't shoot the image until you recognise it and you see and recognize very well. I was traveling in Colorado with my wife once, long ago, and I made a u-turn in the highway. She asked,"what are you doing?" I said, "I'm going back to shoot something I saw." "Where," sne asked. And I said,"about two or three miles back." The image I got turned out to be one of my favorites. Where am I going with this? I don't think you would have missed it when you passed.
I wonder what you would do with Costa Rica. I know it would be very different from what I did with it.
Thanks for sharing all your great work.
Thank you for sharing your work. Had a great time looking at them.

Many thanks for popping back to see our Maine Coons. They are really growing now and I MUST post some more pictures of them.
Yes, you are quite right about Maine Coons and water, some of them love it and splash away for ages. Jefferson is such a boy and likes nothing more than jumping in a puddle (especially when his sister Delta goes by).
Keep up the postings
Keep up the good work
Thank you very much Wendy for your kind comments! I really appreciate the time you spent commenting. I'll be back to see a lot more of your wonderful work!
Warm regards, Yves
Tolle Seite! Hat mir sehr gefallen. Weiter so!
cat gallery is cool
Interesting work ,I've added you to my favorites..Good Luck...Ken
Loved this website and the pictures. Was looking at some of the comments and messages. I was born in the Blythe, CA hospital in 1938. I lived in Desert Center for three years from '38 to '42. My mom and dad both worked there, mom in some of the small cabins they had for rent and my dad cooked in the kitchen of the restaurant. My mom and dad worked for Stanley Ragsdale that is mentioned in your guestbook and they also knew his dad, Steve Ragsdale, who was a prospector of sorts. Anyway, used to have an old picture of the gas station with the sign with the frying pan over the fire on the picture. That was many years ago.
How often do you go to Mexico to shoot? Any favorite locales? I've always wanted to take a photo trip, but don't know diddly about MX. After all the travelling I've done you'd think I'd have been-there and done-it, too.
I love your work. I will be back to look more. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos.
Thanks for sharing such wonderful work. Excellent subjects and beautifully composed shots. Truly well done!

Your digital manipulation gallery contains amazingly modified artistic images. I was delighted to look through your photos. I hope you don't mind that I chose your "End" piece for educational analysis in my Semiotics of Visual Arts course. You and your work are phenomenal! I've loved every minute I have spent looking through your eyes....
OH i love your work !!!

I have watched your photos for a few months now and they amaze me. Wonderful. I was hoping you could share the technique you used in Reflections of Lunch where most of the photo is gray and just the glasses are color. I use PhotoShop 7.0 ... is this something I should be able to do? If you have a minute could you tell me how it is done.
Thanks, Michele email email@example.com

Thanks for visiting my floral gallery and for the very nice comments. I've long admired your galleries and have voted for them. I find it an honor that you give me such nice comments. Thanks again! -Cesar
I just went through your Venice beach photos and was most impressed. What a great place to go for subject matter. I can't believe the wonders that you have worked. Congratulations.
It was great browsing through all your galleries. You certainly have an eye
for composition. It was also interesting to see how significantly your galleries
differ in style.
Really like your new galleries, they are getting better and better. Happy travelling and hats off to you!
Wonderful images of beautiful people. Thank you for sharing them.
Wendy, it is great to see someone express their enjoyment of life and creativity through photography in such a cool collection of images. Please let me know when you have selected your 12 favourites for 2003, I will see whether I agree with you!
Best wishes, Karl
Thanks for bringing back fantastic memories with such beautiful photos!
Hi Wendy, there are no words to describe your pictures, they are amazing, you're such a talented photograph!
Your work is getting better and better. Very stylish new galleries. Congraduations!
Hi, Wendy! This is a return visit, after you visited my gallery -- today? It's nice to find a kindred soul, who loves black and white. I can tell you do, especially in your Europe and Cayumaca galleries. In the Europe gallery I especially appreciated Venice 3, Tuscan Scene, Paris (all), Vienna 1 & 2 -- and it seemed to me that you must have many more photos from that trip that you could work on and post here.
Interesting to see your pictures of Lhasa and Chengdu. I'm going to China, Tibet, and Hong Kong in September, expecting lots of photo opps. You had many people, and especially faces. Makes me think that people are willing to be photographed. Anyway, nice work! Let's see more Europe one of these days.
You've got a wonderful collection of galleries here.
I enjoyed many of them.
It seems you were rather unlucky with the weather in Sevilla.
We were more lucky. If interested, please visit my galleries.
Hello! Thank you for visiting my gallery...
I had the chance to discover yours.Great photography at a very high level.Congratulations!
I will often come back to enjoy more...Anna
Thx for leaving a kind note at my rainy day gallery. I am flabbergasted. I admire your images so much and value thus your comments a lot. Thanks again
Hi Wendy - photography is your hobby, you say? I know some pros who'd be pleased to have your portfolio. Great work. If what you shoot is a reflection of your life, you've got one great life. Kind regards, Lenore
Thank you for your visit to my gallery and the nice comments you gave. Sorry for the strange language I left on your gallery about Mojacar (did you notice it?)leaving out all kinds of letters, especially the "k" and "l", but that had to do with the crashing of my keyboard yesterday. I have a new one now. I can see that above all you like detailed shots which express the atmosphere of a place and that specialty is the strenght of your pictures indeed.
Wendy, just love your B/W infrared images! Wonderful and prolific work...
Thanks for putting great work on display. Wonderfull series on Catalina!
Thank you Wendy for sharing your talent, your eye, and your captures. You have excellent vision for pictures as they are. I loved the close ups of the people of Tibet. Keep up the good work!!
Nice pictures - especially
Thanks for your wonderful comments on my galley's. I just had a look through your's, and I must admit, I have a long way to go to get close to your talent. It was a real pleasure viewing your photographs. Thanks for sharing them with us.
It's amazing how similiar our two images are. Mine was
They must have used the same blueprint to build the cemetary! Complete with that "little house on the prairie" chapel.

Again, anytime you want company let me know :)
Terrific images.. I like the tight cropping and sharpness of your images. It will take a while for me to see all your pics, but it sure will be enjoyable.
Very nice work Wendy. It would take me too long to comment on each and every picture I like so I'll leave a big CONGRATULATIONS here. I've also put you on my list of favorite artists.
Canon G3 in Japan
Wendy - I'm pretty new to PBase, but you have been on my list of favorite artists since the first week. I love your animals images, but when I saw what you created with the car show images -- I knew you were an artist. Really good work in lots of your galleries.
First of all thank you for visiting my gallery inspite that the difference from yours is "heaven & hell". I adore your gallery very much! You have endowed the "Art" of photography very much on your photos! As always il be visiting here from time to time!
Thank you for sharing your SUPERB photographs! =)
Very , very nice pictures. A lot of variations and different subjects.Always with your own style and point of view.
Great photos from the new Digital rebel! The colors are really great and you compose the colors well, to make them very vibrant and stand out. You really show what an affordable digital SLR camera is capable of. I hope to make my albums better, from the inspiration yours gives me.
My album is at
Very very nice, I've only looked at a few galleries so far. I'll be back to check the rest later. Keep up the good work. =)
So much great stuff, so little time.
I'll be back soon to take a slower look.
Just one word... you are a really talented photographer and you use your digital camera like the analog with grace! Lot of other digital camera photographer do just "spam photography" (because it doesn't cost anymore). But you are really some thing special!
Felix, Bern, Switzerland, Europe
Wendy O, You pictures are wonderful. Best overall that I have seen yet. Keep up the good work!
Wendy - my husband and I just spent the last hour going through your galleries at a very pleasant pace - enjoying your photos. It is nice to spend time looking at such wonderful images --- thank you!

Gracias por tus opiniones
TKS for the beautiful pictures taken with that famous 28-135 lens... I purchased the Rebel last week and wanted a better lens than the orinal and searched the internet looking for a few good sites that had reviews of lenses and I found some exceptional sites.
One of the lenses that stuck out from the crowd was this one, i will purchase one this weekend after viewing your wonderful pictures, I am going to look at your photos once in awhile to get ideas on compositions
Merci beaucoup Wendy
I enjoyed your comparison between the UZI and the 300D. I too have gone the Canon route as a replacement for the beloved UZI. It looks like your tele is the 75-300 IS. How do you like it. I'm considering purchasing it or the Sigma 70-300 APO.
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing your craft and skills. Beautiful pictures with a lot of emotion.
Wow....nothing else need be said. Doors and windows are great and personal favourites subjects of mine! Murray B. TOWN (Eurus)
I have nothing to add really as images are outstanding and so many already expressed it.
I'm just curious to understand what kind of computer processing, if at all, do you add, other then normal leveling, etc.
Keep the good work,
Wendyo, I found everything in your photo is in some kind of order. Subjects are so obvious and compositions are balanced. Simple and fresh. I really enjoy looking at each of them. Brian
I can't top the other comments! Fantastic and very inspiring. You've me motivated again!
Norbert from Old Germany
MUGU NO DEY HERE AGAIN
In looking at your work I am reminded of the line from TS Eliot's work,
Let us go then you and I when the evening is spread out against the sky....
Your work takes us a on a fascinating journey.
You are a brilliant artist! You prove one does not need the most expensive, feature filled equipment to capture beauty! You motivate me!
Beautiful pictures. Keep up the great work.
Your pictures are great. Not only do you have an eye for photographic details and lines, but your landscapes are suberb too, idem your portraits. Its rare to have such a broad talent.
Wendy, first of all, your photographs are simply outstanding. I just had a quick go but when I saw the thumbs I decided to make you my first photographer here who's going to be on my favorites list.
And the other thing is to thank you for your nice words in my gallery
Wonderful galleries, Wendy. Certainly inspirational. Thank you for posting the link to the 26 things. While I'm certainly no photographer, it was the most fun I'd had with a camera in a long time. Being strapped at home with 4 little ones, leaves very little to the imagination, but I was certainly surprised to "see" different things in what I see every day.
Fabulous collections. You are very pro ! I have to learn from you :)
You are talentuous to capture the emotions of the precious moments.
Curious to know , who are you ? :)
These are wonderful pictures and very inspiring.
Your photography is really good, lovely claen composition and uncluttered colour. Best regards, Abba
i day here oooooooooooooooooooo umu nna ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Infrared advise needed
I have a new Canon A70 camera. The filter I am using is a Tiffin #87 filter. It is black, and sees only IR light.
The results I am getting are very Infrared, indeed, but the focus is crap. How is it your pics are so sharp? I know the G1 does great IR...but still.....
Could it be the filter I am using is too much for the camera? I am going to get a r72 filter also.
Any ideas on how to focus? What do you do?
very nice pictures you have here, the pic call Xian, China. i like most! keep it up!!
Thanks for your comments on my galleries.
I ve seen a lot of interesting photos in your galleries. You will find some comments and I shall come back.Jan
Jus stumbled in to your Spain gallery.
Really terific gallery, can't wait to look at your other stuff.
Absolutly First Rate!
Browsing through your galleries I got more and more enthousiastic about your work. Love the atmosphere in your work and admire the originality. I liked the Tibet series especially. Hope to see even more of your work.
Used to live in San Diego. I enjoyed the pictures of La Jolla very much
My friend Julian directed me to your gallery - We were having this heated arguement over lunch whether digital or manual photography is better - though no photographer myself I am predisposed to manual - however on seeing your photos I am forced to change my opinion and admit with a eye for frame and a mind for composition the camera becomes secondary.
Beautiful work - I am yet to see most of the images but will browse through - nice to see you do lot of travelling - I am a bit of traveller myself and have some photos from my latest trip at www.pbase.com/arindam_bhatta. Have a look if you have time
Keep the images coming
Your gallery begets emotion. The light, aspect, contrast and composition show considerable ...umm. Subjects unfold as environment and habitat. Reliving Tibet deluged my feeble brain with memories of kindness of repairs and resupply, depleting competitive local resources; some tucked in image corners, the shadow/sun contrast punctualizing anew the need balance. The radiant sun of Spain envelopes, sucking into ambient & beckoning edifice doors. Cherishing travel respite in depicted San Diego home anchorage, thanks,
Thanks for your kind words about my work. Previously, I've been watching your excellent work. Your photos are really great.
Really Spain is a beautiful country, and I still discover new places on it as I move inside for the many different regions and landscapes that Spain has.
Looking forward new photos from you.
Great Spain pictures ... I just had a feeling that more fantastic pictures are on its way when I first saw your 'early pictures', and I am right! Keep the coming.
If I may quote, E.Erwitt who said,
"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." - Elliott Erwitt
then truly, your art of observation, and the way you see them ... is a gift, and a gift that you have kindly shared though your pictures.
YOur work is fanatastic. Love the subjects & your eye.
Thanks for coming by my site & leaving a note.
Hi Wendy, saw one of your galleries on the front page of PBase and came here for a quick peek ... you have an incredible collection of photos here :) I'll be sure to come back and check out your new ones from time to time.
What is there to add?
Thank you for sharing your undeniable talent, and for inspiring so many of us.
Wow, looks like you've been busy! More and more pics! I wish I had more time. When I do, I'll be back. Thanks for the nice comments again. Tom
I enjoy viewing your photos. They were so nicely taken. Especially those with many colours.
I really admire your work. Thanks for commenting on my gallery - it enabled me to find yours. :)
You are extremely talented! Thank you for sharing your images. I wish I were as brave as you in photographing people. I have loved my 2100 since the day I got it, but now I love it more!
perhaps in the galleries, "Tibet" should be corrected as "Tibet, China". I like to visit Tibet with 2 or 3 people but the altitude worries me. Did it take long for you to get used to the thin air?
Dias dos Reis
Very good work, Wendy.
You asked: re: image 9114755
Where is this? It looks like my neighborhood! This was a test shot with a Harrsion and Harrison 88A (Hoya 72 equiv) and my Fuji S2. Just outside my front door in Hollywierd (Uh, I mean Hollywood:-). I LOVE your galleries. VERY inspirational! Keep shooting
hi, your photos are so good and I want to make them as a collection. would you send them to me by email?
Thanks Barry. The school shots were taken as a part of our tour, a pre-arranged visit to the school.
I love your Tibet gallery (haven't got round to the others yet!). How did you manage to get the inside school photos - did you just knock on the door and ask?
Thank you, Bryan. There are lots more to come!
Really enjoyed your China pics. You really have a good eye for the
small and large subjects. I look forward to seeing the rest of your
Wendy, Terrific photographs! You are a great photographer. I take my hat off to you. You should find a publisher and/or a sponsor, National Geographic maybe? You are outstanding. I will be back to study your work more thoroughly when I have a little more time. You must select good titles or sub-titles to enhance your portraits, it will add to the mood of the photograph. You also have a fantastic backdrop for your work, ancient and historic China and its scenes. Your pictures with titles could make beautiful reading, especially for future generations. mbplee
Very nice work. You have the eye for beauty and composition.
Greatings from Jean-Luc ,Belgium.
Great eye Wendy. Thanks for sharing them with us. Regards.
Hi Wendy, glad your home safe! Great pics!
Wendy, You are the Pooped Colt of this picture forum/gallery!!!
Thanks for shareing these great pictures. I will be back to finish looking. I love coco. You did a great job but coco also did a great job.
wonderful images Wendy, the infrareds are stunning- I grew up in CA. and miss all the COLORS- you capture them so well.
I'm new kid on the block here and I must say ... WOW. Your very good. I hope your doing this professionally. I wouldn't be posting anything here till I get my digital camera, and after viewing your pictures ... holy moses ... I'm not sure I feel qualified.
Thank you for the inspiration and a standard to try and live up to.
Whoa. Just finished updating (Autumn) and was checking a couple of pics when your comment appeared. Thank you. I looked at your infrared and car pics. Very nice work. You are the third person whose B&W work makes me wonder if I should go back and try it again (haven't done it since the 80's). I'll be back to check out the rest of your galleries. Tom
Wendy, your pictures are amazing, light, facture and... You've got something to say, and I can see it in those pictures. Every one of them is telling me some story. Beatiful, thank you. Aleksandra p.s. i hope i will someday make photos as good as you do:))
I'm flattered by your compliments, you are such a good photographer, I have still a lot to learn (but I'll try). I like very much your pictures from Europe, they capture effectively the atmosphere of the places. Thank you again!
Wendy, looked at some of your photos and really like them - well composed and tack sharp. Three Hats, Lobos, many others.
See mine at www.robert-harrington.com/photos, also www.pbase/robthrr. These were also taken at the Vista Hot Rod show Aug. 4th. (The stamp of Aug. 1 was because the clock in camera was off for some reason.) (Beware, these were taken to demonstrate the S2 Pro, and the size of the originals is 4256x2848 pixels and about 4.6 MB each.)
My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. It would be nice to hear from you.
Just thought I'd post so you would know I visited! This is a nice site! Nice pictures Wendy, I'll have to come back when you get the rest up.
