I ran into this a long time ago before I was a PBase member and loved it. I still do now and am glad I ran into it again. The memory of it alone has inspired my car photography a lot. Gigantic Double (if only it were possible) Vote!

I just bought a '66 bug here in Indonesia, and have always loved this car. I love this gallery, and agree with Jarrell below that this gallery would make a great poster!! Well done.

Terrific -- I have an absurd love for this car. Have a New Bettle, but it's not quite the same (not entirely a bad thing mechanically speaking). But I'll take your gallery over "The Doors of (Fill in the Blank)" any day!

Lovely and well done gallery. Only recently I started to keep an eye out for old cars, VW bugs included, but it is not as easy as I thought it would be. There are a lot of Bugs in Los Angeles, but just not in a position where I can take a nice shot and without the hostile owner come up to greet me with baseball bat. It is a slow process, but I managed to collect a whole bunch of old cars. Here is mine-http://www.pbase.com/orbitalbox/pimped.

It recalls memories of the days lived in Mexico in 1999 and 2000.
I spent one and half year there and my best friend owned one such a bug.
Thank you for this very nice gallery and for taking my memory back.
I lacks though the green and grey bug taxi with the front seat removed to allow passengers to seat at the back.

OMG! I love this collection! when I lived in Mexico my dad drove a bug like the red one, we call them "pulgitas" ur collection sure brings memories!!Have you been in Mexico city, there ALL Taxis are bugs! :) like someone said keep going!!

I love the older bugs. This gallery brings back some memories of a 65 bug I drove in high school. It didn't start half of the time and it wasn't flashy, but it was cheap and it got me where I wanted to go (once I got a push from a couple of good friends). Thanks for the memories and great photos.

I LOVE this gallery- Very Clever! brings back so many memories. I especially enjoy the one bug named "Jeans" (but what's with all those doors in the background???)
