One of our favorite German traditions is Nikolaus. On the eve before the 6th of December, the children put out their boots,
and an apple and some oats for the horse, and if they have been good all year, the Nikolaus will come and leave some treats.
You can imagine that the horse has a lot of homes to visit, so it gets to eat only a bite out of the apple, and it might
be a little bit messy with the oats. It's no surprise that, with such traditions, Michele loves being a German child!
