16 Mile Hike in/out Grand Canyon with 9,000 foot elevation change - BRUTAL

9,000+ feet of elevation change over 16 miles. Some of the highlights of our little killer jaunt down to the bottom of the Canyon and out again in one day, from the East Rim. Kaibab trail down to Phantom Ranch, and up the Bright Angel trail. We could have used some angels on that climb out. Major aches and pains today.

I lived there from 1976 to 1980 . I've hiked over 600 miles in the canyon , loved it . The good old days , drugs , sex and rock and roll. Nice pics
