This was the highlight of my week end. I had gone back to my vehicle, dropped off some of my stuff, and just grabbed the cameras and tripod to shoot wildflowers around the park visitor's center area. I set up the camcorder to shoot anyone coming over the bridge from the parking area and 2 ladies soon unwittingly obliged. When they got over the bridge, they headed my way and one said I should put this stuff on a web site. She then asked if I was me (they saw the ncwaterfall.com stickers on my vehicle) and introduced herself as Ashley who I have emailed with several times! Ashley and Hillary are waterfall phreaks also and I was very jealous - but impressed - when Ashley had emailed me and told me she had been to the waterfalls at The Wilds.

They were on their way up to Rainbow Falls. Ashley had already been and wanted to show Hillary. I'm hoping we'll be able to get together for a hike soon, so you may see them again...
