There's really no good excuse, but I had never been to Mount Mitchell State Park. Maybe it's because there are no accessible waterfalls up there. Anyhow - today's main goal was to scope out the color situation. It was going to be another full sun day, so the high country would be better for shooting than waterfalls would be. Harry came over at 6 and we headed towards the Blue Ridge Parkway. We reached Craggy Gardens just before sunrise, so stopped to check it out. Unfortunately, it was another cloudless morning.
