The only thing I knew for sure about this week end was I was getting up early on Friday to catch a sunrise and I would end up at Harry's for the week end. The sunrise was a bust - the fog was so thick on the Parkway I could barely see. So I decided to head down 276 to The Cove Creek parking on FR475 to check out a little area of the Davidson River that Bernie had just told me about. Take the trail from the back part of the parking area to where Cove Creek empties into the Davidson to the small cascade and pool area shown in the above shot.
