waterfall on Yellow Patch Branch 3

From the bottom of the last waterfall we headed up the steep bank back up to the road and to where it crosses the creek. The topo showed potential waterfall maybe 1/4 mile up, so we headed up the old blocked road on the left. This soon fizzled out and we had to hop in the creek to continue. From here we were in and out of the creek on the remnants of this old road. If you don't know it, yellow jackets make their nests in the ground and they love areas like this. After the 1st attack incident, I was looking hard for the signs. I spotted 2, but missed 2 others and got ate up some more. We did fight our way up to this nice sliding type cascade. The rock here was a beautiful burnt orangy color with black bands. I climbed up above this without my camera and there is another 15 foot section, but I was ready to get back to civilization to medicate my wounds.
