Burgess Falls 3

The official trail ends above the river, but there's a smaller trail leading down to the base. The spray from the falls is pretty bad down here, so I tried to hide behind a rock and snap a quickie before the spray built up on the lens.

OH MY GOSH!!! What a different type of fall. I love the ancient feel of the fall, like its out of a movie or something. Definitely just went down on my top falls to see!! Beautiful shot!!

I have been to tennessee and the smokey mountains. but I have never seen a waterfall like this. Can someone please tell me how to go there so me and my soon to be husband can enjoy it. I plan on making it our honeymoon. It would make it a dream come true. Thank you.

This photo is absolutely beautiful. I haven't had the opportunity to get there just yet but my next vacation I will be at this fall. My maiden name is Burgess and my father was Sameul Burgess.

My name is Paula and my greatgrandmother was Bedie Cleo Burgess a direct decendant.I love the falls and go all the time. My grandmother was born in Baxter and married a Hale. When the Baxter court house burned she had to get her older brother to prove who she was so she could get her social security.I gave one of my aunts a book that showed the decendants down from Thomas Burgess on when there was a family reunion at the falls. I hope to have my ashes after I die thrown in the bottom of this falls.

I know we are related I'm the granddaughter of Carl Burgess and these are 2 of the best pictures of the falls I've ever seen. You really captured the beauty of the falls.

I was just there with my wife and 12 year old son little over a week ago. We really enjoyed the hike. Back in Michigan now. Your photo is great and truly representative of this place. By the way, I am a 4th great grandson of Tom Burgess, after whom the falls were named. Cheers!
