Here I have one of the islands planted with perennials and a couple of shrubs planted in the back. Cindy's Mom had passed and we planted roses in her honor in the other bed. The plants look puny now, but will fill in over the next couple of seasons. I'm hoping to get a lot of the planting done by the 1st of October. Fall planting allows for more root growth and a better show next spring.
