Harry and I hadn't gone on a hike lately, so we decided to do a little exploring in the Pisgah Forest today. The creeks we looked at on the map didn't have the volume of water we thought they would when we got to them, so we headed over to the nearby Laurel Fork. We explored that creek up from FR475 back in 2003 and had found some nice cascades and a waterfall. We hadn't been back since and there was now an obvious but not overused trail heading up the right side of the creek. The creek cascades over moss covered rocks and logs all the way up to the waterfall and it was hard not to stop at every one for a shot.
