The weather gurus called for rain today - heavy at times - but maybe not until later in the day for upstate South Carolina. The rain came earlier than expected in Lake Toxaway, and I've haven't been to Brasstown Falls since my last camera, so I took a chance and headed south. The forecast didn't mention fog with the rain, but that's what I drove in all the way past Whitewater Falls into SC. Once I got about half way down Hwy 107, the rain let up, but the fog lingered. Once I got to Brasstown Rd, Mother Nature smiled upon me and the fog lifted to above tree level.
The first level of Brasstown Falls is maybe 5 minutes from the parking area. The colors were farther along than I expected, but they were mostly yellows, limes, and some peachy oranges.
