I was able to get off a few shots without people in the scene. I think the on and off showers all day kept the herds to a minimum. I suspect color in this area will peak some time this coming week. It was time to head back. I figured I'd be stopping along the Parkway for some shots, but the fog quickly moved in and I didn't stop once. We had decided earlier that we'd try our luck tomorrow in the Pisgah Forest near Brevard.
