On the way in, we had noticed these red tops amongst the new grasses growing along side the new road into the park. On the way out we pulled in front of a 'do not block this gate' drive up to a small building and walked back up to see what this was. Turns out it's Crimson Clover which I had never seen. The pink rounder heads are more common around here. Then along came a State Park vehicle with blue lights flashing - busted. Luckily, it was the park superintendent Steve Pagano who was just making sure everyone was OK. He's very excited about what's happening at the park now and what will happen in the future.
