This past week end was rather rainy, so I was fairly useless on Saturday and Sunday. We really need the rain, so I can't complain. By Monday I was getting restless, so I checked the radar Monday morning and decided to head to the Smokies. It looked like that area was getting less rain and gave me a chance to check out the wildflower situation. I was thinking the warm temps of the previous week end might have the blooming a little ahead of schedule. And it was. The early bloomers have already begun. Just across the bridge over Big Creek on the Baxter Creek Trail were some Hepatica pictured here.
