The weather people were teasing us again with a threat of snow in the higher elevations last night into today. I woke up at 2am and checked the Weather Channel - not much of nuthin' showing up. Then got up at 5:30 and looked again. Dang it! Hardly a dribble of precip showing up. Both Harry and JC were maybe going to call to see if we should head to higher elevations. Harry didn't, but JC did and he had caught a bad cold. I was going to give it up also, but about 8:30 I got the itch and was headed to Max Patch Mountain by 9. I could see a dusting of snow on some of the mountain tops almost immediately when I got on I-40 and the dusting was more widespread by the time I got to Exit 7. This was shot along the forest road up to Max Patch not to far from the interstate.
