I've been viewing lots of photos of the "flash", but this is the best I have seen which clearly illustrates this amazing phenomena. Thanks for sharing it!
I'd never heard of this until a friend told me about it today. Very cool, and this is a great photo of it.

I saw it twice the same night flying out of LAX. The second time occurred at a slightly higher altitude. I have never seen it from any altitude higher than about three thousand feet. My hobby is sunset photos. Perhaps you would enjoy some of mine?

Man! 22 Years in the United States Navy and I NEVER SAW the Green Flash, even with 16 years of sea duty. Great capture!
