This is a very insightful photograph, it really speaks to me. Thanks for posting it, although very sad its an outstanding shot. (As are the rest of the photos in this gallery by the way....)
I lost my wife and best friend of 48 years two and a half years ago, and I can relate to your subject. I miss her every day.
I thought the scene was wonderful with all of the flowers that help to soften the grief.
So much sadness, so much living in the past, does he mourn the love of his life? I think of my own grandfather, visiting the grave of my grandmother 2 and 3 times a day. Does it help him, being close to her?
