This Cemetery (East London Cemetery) captures something of the essence of East Londoners. Its full of mawkish yet sincere displays of loss. This statue on its enormous plinth vies with other memorials in that cemetery (such as the 6-foot high dart-board on another grave) to be the grandest demonstration of how truly loved the departed were and how inconsolable those left behind are.
Quite the contrary..she was obviously loved.
