Waqas Sahib This site really surprised me found what I was looking for.I am in Kuwait now but am planining to visit Chitral for Shandur polo match and Deosai Plains. Presently we are based in Abbotabad. My 'ghareeb khana' is there.I am crazy about northern areas and the destruction caused by the quake saddened me a lot.Wish you guys good luck in your future endeavours and no more quakes for my favourite tourist spots....Allah Hafiz Saleem Kuwait.
Thank you Mubashir for your compliments. For Deosai plains, tours are arranged that will take you from one end of Deosai, passing through all of it to the other end. We went from Gilgit side and exited Deosai for Skardu. There are trips that go from Skardu - Deosai - Gilgit side as well. And yes, you can go in a group, in fact if you have 10-12 persons, you can hire a jeep (like the ones we had
and it'll be more economical. I think you can get bookings from tour operators (Pir Wadhai?)in Islamabad, I'm not sure. Hope that helps!
