Mary Elizabeth Wallace and Miguel Angel Zamora Jr. of Lufkin were married in a 2 p.m. ceremony Saturday, May 25, 2013, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lufkin with Father Francis O’Dowd officiating. The bride is the daughter of Carl and Cathy Wallace of Lufkin and the granddaughter of Bessie Wallace of Lufkin and the late Gene Wallace, Bill and Geneva Cooney of New Waverly and the late Linda Cooney. The groom is the son of Miguel and Alejandra Zamora of Lufkin, and the grandson of the late Alfredo and Hilaria Zamora of Raymondville and Martina Andrade and the late Jose Andrade of Conca, Mexico. Attending the bride was Maid of Honor Davin Trevino of Lufkin. Bridesmaids were Kaley Cummins of Lufkin, Hannah Frazier of Kingwood, Brittany Roberts of Kemp and Chaney Shauf of Gainsville, friends of the bride; and Crystal Zamora and Selena Zamora, both of Lufkin, sisters of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Ashley Zamora of Lufkin, sister of the groom. Flower girls were Coraline Ramirez of Lake Jackson, niece of the bride and goddaughter of the bride and groom, and Rubi Palacios of Hudson, goddaughter of the bride and groom. Best man was Gonzalo Rodriguez of Lufkin and groomsmen were Jorge Borjas Jr. of Lufkin, cousin of the groom; and Jaime Fernandez Jr. of Lufkin, Jamie Morgan of Crockett, Ruben Rodriguez, Gary Trevino and and Ja’Michael Williams, all of Lufkin, friends of the groom. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Cochino Lodge. The couple will reside in Houston. The bride graduated Lufkin High School in 2009 and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. The groom graduated Lufkin High School in 2008 and graduated from Angelina College in May 2010 with an Associates in Applied Science in drafting and design technology. He is currently attending the University of Houston and working toward a Bachelors degree in Architecture.
