Hong Kong celebrated the start of 2013 with a spectacular firework display - the largest the city has ever seen - attended by tens of thousands of people.
While maybe not as big as the extravaganza in Sydney, Australia, Hong Kong put on a grand display to around 100,000 people as the clock struck midnight, and entered a brand new year.
The cost is estimated to be a huge 12.5 million Hong Kong dollars ($1.5 million US), and is said to be the biggest ever held in Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor.
