Hikes around Pocatello are usually pleasant or even magical. Encounters with dangerous animals are possible but not too frequent. However, on Nov. 25, 2007, I walked to a hilltop and saw all this trash. Who could have been crazy enough to dump so much trash on such beautiful wild land several hundred feet from the road?
