Well, we get sick when we breathe this. Luckily it is not like this most of the time. In fact most of the time Pocatello (especially in the mountains surrounding it) has magical air that can not be found in big cities or even in many small towns anymore. In Thailand, even on an island where I was last winter the air is not fresh anymore.
However, when the air is polluted in Pocatello it can be bad like what you see here. And if we add pollution sources to the area and don't do enough to remove existing pollution sources, we'd be greatly diminishing the quality of life in the area.
