I am a woodcarver of some 60+ years experience. I raised a pr. of baby Flying squirrels while working as a Park Naturalist at Yosemite in the early 50's. I was a Zoology instructor for 35 yrs. I am currently trying to finish a carving of Glaucomys sabrinus in mid flight. I am looking for a photo of a living, adult flying squirrel which shows the proper proportions of the head from a side view. All I have found show what amounts to a partial side view which distorts the actual proportions. Any suggestions? I have plenty of flying shots, and "cute" photos, but none are really FULL side views. Have you any suggestions?
