Dr. Holte taught his inspiring Spring Flora course at ISU even after his official retirement. When this photo was taken in 2004 he was already officially retired, but now he's even more retired. This spring, the spring of 2008, he said he's been traveling to many interesting places and has seen so many different plant species.

The place shown here is at the corner of West Buckskin Road and Prospector's Hollow. Unfortunately that particular spot has now been completely run over by development.
