You know the famous panorama from the horse and buggy days. See http://www.amazon.com/Historic-Pocatello-Panorama-Elegant-Antique/dp/B000MP6BOM Well, I was dabbling around trying to get an update of it. But I didn't quite succeed. First of all, you'd have to be standing in the roadway to get something approximately like it. I tried that, on a Sunday afternoon. But had to hurry off the road before I finished! I went back into the road 3-4 times, but then decided that horse-drawn carriages were safer than today's cars, even on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Also, the person back then must have used a panoramic camera, resulting in less distortion. I don't have a panoramic camera, but used software to stitch digital pictures together.
I'm sure a few others have tried this, some with better results! I think I might have seen one by Craig Worth.
But the good thing about being an amateur like myself is that sometimes I'll just post messed up results anyway! For months I wouldn't post this image, but tonight I decided, what the heck.
