Cougars have always roamed our neighborhood, but never before were they found at work, until recently! Somehow, I was more afraid of the cougars on Red Hill than the ones at home, perhaps because of the warning sign and the trap, neither of which can be found at home! Anyway, I went up Red Hill today with a camera and a big walking stick. Didn't find any cougars - just a cougar trap.

The cougar trap has two signs announcing what it is. Hopefully the cougars can't read the signs! Anyway, I wonder if the trap is strong enough to keep a cougar in there, and if the bait is substantial enough to attract a cougar in the first place. Anyway, I assume the F&G people know what they are doing!
