The History Museum includes one of the last standing historic log homes in Canon City. It was built in 1860 by Anson Rudd. It was the first local building to have a wooden floor, and was the birthplace of the first white child born in Canon City. Anson Rudd became a leading citizen, particularly after the Civil War.
