Yellowstone National Park: Bead Geyser

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Interesting for its a beautiful, intricate beaded surface. The beads are of sinter. It is one of the most regular geysers in Yellowstone, erupting about every 30 minutes for 2.5 minutes. Its temperature is 172°F, and when it erupts it spouts 15-25 feet. Its crater is only about 7 feet deep.
