A standard VW engine's flywheel is fixed to the crank with a huge 36mm nut. I have a socket just for the job, along with a 3ft long flex handle for the 220lb/ft of torque it requires. My engine though, not being at all stock, has a heavy duty nut that needs a bigger socket, a thicker flex handle and 350 -400 lb/ft of torque. This is going to be tough!
