This afternoon, we walked from the cottage up to Minions and 'the Hurlers', some ancient stone circles, and then on across the moor to the Cheesewring, where I took this photograph. The other side is a 100m drop into a quary. I guess that's why they want us to keep out! The view from up there was just amazing. But look at that wonderful british summer weather!
Update: I later learned that 30 miles or so away, a village on the North Coast was all but swept away into the sea by flash flooding at around the same time we were on the moors. If that sky looks brooding, it is. It's swept dozens of cars through a village street and into the sea.
