Inspired by, if not really in the style of Bill Brandt, who's retrospective exhibition we visited today. Two things about his work made me think. It's OK to have 'stuff' in the background, and secondly, it's OK to loose some detail in the shadows. So here's me in the spare room, natural daylight, a real room with real stuff in the background, and lot's of dark bits. Well, I like it.
