The logo on the key fob is from the legendary EMPI, the original aftermarket VW tuning company, started in 1956 by Joe Vittone in Riverside California. Many modified VWs are still using parts developed by EMPI, including my very own Lurker, which has an EMPI designed 'camber compensator' fitted to the rear suspension.
