Here's how it works: JD drops the ball in our path then shuffles backwards a suitable distance as we approach. Lola will assume a position four steps further back, both waiting, ever hopefully for someone to give the ball a good kick. This almost always happens, of course. A chase then ensues. If Lola gets the ball, she'll then canter around a bit with JD in pursuit. Eventually she'll drop it and JD will carefully set the ball up for the next round. This they repeat until we're back home. It's clearly just the best game ever!
