My new coffee grinder has made all the difference. With pre ground coffee the espresso machine made horrible coffee. As did the Cafetiere. I hate to admit it, but Instant was sometimes better. Now with the grinder even cheap supermarket beans makes fab coffee. With locally (and freshly) roasted beans it makes the coffee of the gods!
