These images show the progression from two real media sketches from the live model to various versions of the almost (!) finished painting done in Painter. The studio setting was loosely based on a studio in the Princes Drawing School but the bath, screen, chair and room in the background are all imagination as is most of the play of light. Texture was added as an experiment to create more atmosphere and unify the image. This was done in various ways including combining two different versions of the same painting with different values and textures. Photography was not used at any stage in the process.
