I live quite near this famous shaved ice store and passed there daily,
The store reopened at section 4 Zhung Xiao East Road on 28th May, 2012
I have never tasted it that I prefer the Italian flavour and German ice creams.

New Shaved Ice Store Replaces Ice Monster in Taipei
Only months after world-renowned Ice Monster closed, a new shaved ice store has opened in the same prime location on Yong Kang Street.
Saturday, June 12, 2010 was an exciting day for shaved ice fans in Taipei as a new store opened in the place of the legendary Ice Monster that unexpectedly closed in January.
Ice Monster attracted fans from around the globe as it earned a permanent home in practically every guide book, and was even recognized by New York Times travel writers.
Yong Kang 15, run by FnB Restaurant Group, has opened its doors in the same storefront where Ice Monster once stood. Fans of Ice Monster's mango shaved ice were optimistic
about the new shop since Taipei Times reported the original owner of Ice Monster will serve as as the technical adviser for Yong Kang 15.
In a press conference announcing the opening of the new shaved ice store, Lee Ching-long, Director-General of Yong Kang Commercial and Cultural Promotion Association,
said sales in other stores near the ice shop had decreased more than 20 percent in the five months since Ice Monster closed in late January.
