Welcome and thank you for visiting my galleries. I'm a photographer living in Northern Idaho. My photography background includes both formal education and continuing self-study. I started my career working with a 4x5 view camera and as a part time stringer for a small town newspaper. Although I loved photographing large format landscapes, more and more I began to enjoy photographing a wide variety of subject matter working for the newspaper on assignment. Later, I received my Nature Photography Certification from the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois and have a certificate in commercial and portrait photography from the School of Modern Photography.
Client and publication credits include McGraw-Hill, University of California Press, New Mexico Wilderness Alliance, BirdNote, Barrington-Courier Review, Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald, CDAPress, YMCA, Campagnolo, Morton Arboretum, PawsRusK9s, Stillman Nature Center and Blue Ridge Country Magazine. My work has been exhibited in Idaho at the Well-Read Moose Bookstore in Coeur d' Alene and in Illinois at the Barrington Art Council and DuPage Art League.
I currently market my work online through Fine Art America at www.vic-harris.artistwebsites.com
