10 23 05 Teaching Mom About Sushi

I get my adventuresome side, in part, from my mom.
She was in town today and offered to take me to lunch.
I said I'd pay if they joined me for sushi.
After a long pause.....................she reluctantly said OK.

I had them stick with cooked(mostly) rolls, saucy dishes.
I think it was a hit.
That was, at least, their polite answer.

I'm a sashimi fan myself. Next time for them?

Again using the 12-24 for people shots at its widest.
Overdone, wides get tiresome but to show the context of surroundings I love my wide angles.

No, forks are fine, in Texas anyway.
Lesson two will be chopsticks.
Lesson three will be sashimi...mostly uncooked...good stuff.
We'll save uni for last. I'm still aquiring that one myself.

Actually I loved it all...even that bite of raw salmon. A great hit, indeed. Elaine and I considered it an adventure to celebrate her birthday! Yes, Laine, he is a wonderful son, and even let me play with his camera.
