People of Verbena 1895


Verbena people on steps of the Clifton Hotel in Verbena about 1895.
They met to prepare wreaths for the decoration of graves of Confederate soldiers in Montgomery.

Later grad. from West Point. High ranking Army officer.

9. Miss Mary Carr Gibson. Later married Gov. Comer.

11. Mrs. Alonza Haralson (They built the house known in 1982 as
the Grimes House on Cooper Street. Her husband was a lawyer.)
